Spring Rubbish Drop Off

Now is a great time to get rid of your clutter and avoid the trip to the dump. Breitung Township will be holding their Second Annual Spring Rubbish Drop Off. The Spring Rubbish Drop-Off dumpsters for Breitung Township residents ONLY to bring discarded household items and other bulky items in the gated area at the DPW building on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 through Saturday, May 10th, 2025.

LOCATION: In the gated area next to the DPW building on 3850 Menominee St, Quinnesec, MI 49876

DROP OFF SITE WILL BE OPEN FOR 7 DAYS:
SATURDAY-8 am to 3pm
SUNDAY - 9am to 2pm
MONDAY- FRIDAY - 7am to 6pm

MATERIALS ACCEPTED: Furniture, rolled carpeting (4ft. maximum length), lumber (4ft. maximum length), cabinets and/or countertops, one mattress per household, bed springs, large appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, furnaces), electronic items (TVs, DVD players, VCRs, stereos, computer equipment, office equipment, etc.), toys, and various unused clutter.

MATERIALS NOT ACCEPTED: Freon containing appliances (refrigerators, AC units, dehumidifiers, freezers), tires, used oil, paint, gasoline, antifreeze or any other hazardous/Toxic waste, batteries, brush, tree stumps, tree limbs, yard waste, building materials from a total demolition or waste from construction or reconstruction of buildings or household trash (kitchen/food waste) that can be placed in a trash cart for normal weekly pick-up.

DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A WATER BILL/OR REFUSE BILL will be required as proof of residency for admittance. You must SIGN IN with the attendant before you enter the gated area. DPW crews reserve the right to refuse any material that is not conducive to spring clean-up or deemed unsafe for disposal.
