On January 12, 2026, the Breitung Township Board proudly presented Harold E. Sutton with an official resolution recognizing his remarkable 19 years of service as a Volunteer Firefighter for Breitung Township.
Mr. Sutton joined the Breitung Township Fire Department on September 11, 2006, serving faithfully out of Station 3 – North Breitung. Throughout nearly two decades, he has been a trusted member of our firefighting team—always ready to respond, always willing to serve, and always committed to the safety and well‑being of our community.
But Mr. Sutton’s dedication extends far beyond his time with Breitung Township. His career reflects an extraordinary 61 years of service to the firefighting profession. Over more than six decades, he has embodied the highest values of the fire service: courage, selflessness, and a sense of duty. His actions have made a lasting impact on countless residents, strengthened community safety, and inspired fellow firefighters across generations.
On behalf of Breitung Township, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sutton for his exceptional service and dedication. We are deeply thankful for the many years he has devoted in service to others.
Thank you, Mr. Sutton, for your extraordinary contributions to our community.
