Mary E. Dixon Tot Lot Dedication
Honoring Mary E. Dixon: A Legacy of Service and Compassion
The Board of Trustees presented a Resolution of Honor to Mary E. Dixon’s family in recognition of her service to the community.
On September 22, 2025, we proudly dedicated the Quinnesec Tot Lot to Mary E. Dixon, recognizing her lasting impact on our community through her selfless service and unwavering commitment to children and families. Mary had a remarkable ability to identify needs and turn them into opportunities for connection and care.
During the dedication ceremony, the Board of Trustees presented a Resolution to Mr. Bill Dixon in honor of Mary’s contributions. A plaque was installed, and the Tot Lot was officially renamed the Mary E. Dixon Tot Lot.
One of Mary’s most inspiring achievements was leading the effort to create the Tot Lot—a safe, joyful space for children to play and families to gather. Through community events and outreach to local businesses, she raised funds, turning a vision into a vibrant reality.
Mary’s compassion extended to the Quinnesec Ice Rink, where she volunteered to ensure every child had access to skates, regardless of financial circumstances. She believed no child should be left out due to cost—and she made sure everyone could participate.
Mary Dixon’s legacy lives on in the laughter of children, the bonds between families, and the spirit of generosity she inspired. Her dedication reminds us of the profound difference one person can make.
